What is the Dual Degree in Business Administration + Laws?
According to Soledad, “The Dual Degree in Business Administration + Laws at IE University is a program designed to train students in the connection between the business and legal worlds. It is a program that tries to bring students to the training as well as to the experience of the intersection of business and law.”
The program includes courses such as Corporate Finance, Commercial Law, EU Law, Administrative and Economic Regulation, and more. And it’s not all about academia: the program also offers students a totally international experience—between sharing the classroom with students from around the world, and having the choice to study abroad in North and South America, Europe, Asia, Africa or the Middle East, students leave this program globally minded and multifaceted.
What makes this program unique?
Reasons abound, but Soledad highlights the program’s international focus and study plan. “It’s a unique program because of its global and international approach as well as the way that the business administration and law areas are connected… through a design of building blocks that students will take along the five years of the program. The building blocks of the program include corporations, multinationals, a challenge, and conflict resolution.”
Over the five years of the program, students will be immersed in the interconnected worlds of law and business, while working on hands-on projects, IEU Labs, and internships at top international organizations. This program is designed to prepare students to dive into the professional world right away, regardless of the country.
What advice would you give to someone interested in or already studying this program?
“My personal advice… would be to take advantage of and try to benefit from building a global network,” Soledad tells us. She also recommends that students “take advantage of being able to design their own different and independent career paths by choosing to sign up for different activities, such as international competitions, labs, or seminars that are offered at the university.”

For Soledad, “a good candidate for this Dual Degree in Business Administration + Laws at IE University would be a candidate who has a global mindset and who’s really looking for training in international law as well as an international experience.” With over 130 nationalities represented on campus, the classroom is sure to have a totally global environment, and students will make long-lasting international connections.
