Life across four different cities as a Global BBA student

What is it like to live, study, and grow across three global cities?

The Global BBA goes beyond academics. It’s about experiencing student life in different cultural, social, and professional environments. From campus clubs and facilities to housing and local culture, each destination offers a distinct way of living your university experience.

Student Life

1. IE University

IE University offers a highly international and entrepreneurial student life experience, with plenty of student-led clubs managed and supported by the IE Campus Life team.

These clubs cover areas such as entrepreneurship, consulting, finance, technology, sustainability, culture, sports, and social impact.

Through conferences, competitions, networking events, and social initiatives, students are encouraged to take leadership roles and actively shape campus life.

Supported by dedicated campus services and a diverse global community, IE fosters an inclusive, innovative, and professionally oriented student environment.

2. Singapore Management University

SMU offers a vibrant and student-driven campus life with numerous student-led clubs and organizations spanning academic, cultural, sports, arts, and special interest areas.

In addition to its dynamic club ecosystem, SMU provides extensive on-campus facilities, including food courts and eateries, a gymnasium and fitness centre, swimming pool, sports hall, libraries, learning spaces, IT Help Centre, Student Services Hub, and Wellness Centre. Comprehensive health and safety support is also available through mandatory medical insurance and 24-hour emergency assistance services.

Together, these resources foster an engaging and supportive environment in the heart of Singapore.

3. American University in Dubai

AUD provides a lively and well-supported campus experience within Dubai’s multicultural environment.

The Student Center serves as a central hub featuring dining outlets, retail shops, a mini mart, printing services, and additional amenities such as hair salons and sports facilities.

Students can participate in a variety of athletic activities including basketball, cricket, squash, soccer, swimming, tennis, track, and volleyball.

AUD also offers strong student support services, including an on-campus Health Center, 24/7 university hotline, and licensed personal counseling services, ensuring both academic and personal wellbeing.

4. IENYC

IENYC offers a highly immersive student experience at the heart of New York City, one of the world’s leading centers for innovation, finance, technology, and entrepreneurship. Students are uniquely positioned to build meaningful industry connections through networking opportunities, company visits, guest speakers, and engagement with IE’s global alumni network. Beyond the classroom, New York itself becomes an extension of the learning experience, offering unparalleled cultural, social, and professional opportunities. Rather than a traditional campus setting, students benefit from IENYC´s support services alongside the city’s world-class amenities. Together, this dynamic environment fosters a fast-paced, career-oriented experience that accelerates students’ global perspective and professional growth.

Accommodation: find your place

A key part of your global experience is where – and how – you live. Each destination offers different housing options, with varying levels of support and independence.

Madrid

IE’s Student Services team supports students in securing accommodation in Madrid through Beyond Campus, the university’s trusted housing provider. Through beyondcampus.es, students can safely book an apartment or secure a place in a student residence prior to arrival. The platform offers verified housing options to ensure a secure and streamlined accommodation process.

Singapore

Located in the heart of Singapore, SMU benefits from excellent connectivity to major MRT stations and city amenities. Upon successful enrollment, students are provided with a list of alternative private housing options and a comprehensive housing guide with practical advice and recomendations. Students are responsible for arranging their own accommodation and are strongly advised to review Singapore’s rental regulations (URA guidelines) and all lease terms carefully before signing. SMU does not act as a representative in rental disputes, and short-term residential rentals are not permitted under Singapore regulations.

Dubai

Students who wish to stay on campus at AUD must complete the Housing Application through the AUD Housing Portal. For further information, students may contact the housing office at housing@aud.edu. Those who prefer to live off campus are advised to begin their search upon receiving their admission letter. University-focused platforms such as University Living, Uhomes, and Casita provide student residence options in Dubai. AUD will provide students with recommended accommodation options.

Beyond campus: living the cultural experience

Each city offers a unique cultural experience that shapes your journey:

  • In Madrid, students can immerse themselves in Spanish culture through historic neighborhoods, world-renowned museums such as the Prado, vibrant local markets, traditional cuisine, football culture, and lively festivals like San Isidro, all within one of Europe’s most culturally rich capitals.
  • In Singapore, students experience a unique fusion of Asian cultures through hawker centers, iconic neighborhoods such as Chinatown and Little India, and a calendar of multicultural festivals and global events that reflect the city-state’s diverse and cosmopolitan character.
  • Dubai offers a dynamic blend of tradition and innovation, where students can explore traditional souks, desert landscapes, Islamic heritage sites, and major international events in a truly global city. .
  • In New York City, students experience one of the world’s most dynamic cultural capitals, with access to iconic landmarks, world-class museums such as The Met and MoMA, Broadway shows, diverse neighborhoods, and a vibrant food scene shaped by global influences. From Central Park to Brooklyn’s creative districts, and from major sporting events to international festivals, the city offers endless opportunities to engage with its energy, diversity, and cultural richness beyond the classroom.

Make the world your classroom with the Global BBA.
