IE University has recently launched a brand new undergraduate program: the Bachelor in Behavior and Social Sciences.

What is Behavior and Social Sciences?
The principal goal of behavior and social sciences is to develop an understanding of people and how they behave within social systems. The discipline combines fields like psychology, ethology, and neuroscience in order to create a comprehensive picture of human behavior.
In a recent interview, Vice Dean Norman Kurtis explained that the main purpose of IEU’s new program is “to help students understand why people do the things they do, why they behave the way they behave, and to learn how to change how people think and behave in order to achieve an objective.” In other words, this field is broad enough to encompass various areas of interest, but it also has a clear focus—and IE’s undergraduate behavior and social sciences degree reflects both of these complementary aspects.
How does the program work?
The Bachelor in Behavior and Social Sciences at IEU is a 4-year degree program for undergraduate students. It’s part of the IE School of Human Sciences and Technology, and is taught entirely in English. Students will spend the first year studying at the Segovia campus, and the following three years in Madrid.
The multidisciplinary curriculum combines courses in sociology, ethnography, psychology, ethology, behavioral economics, neuroscience, anthropology, and other social sciences. It’s based on a methodological perspective, meaning you’ll learn how to utilize tools and analyze data related to human behavior—and how to apply these skills to real-world situations.

This fully-accredited degree program has been carefully engineered to give you a wide variety of career options and outcomes. This may not be a business degree, but it nevertheless reflects the management-based approach and entrepreneurial spirit for which we are famous.
