Psychology is the study of human behavior. This field explores the factors that drive individuals to act and think in certain ways. The prevailing impression is that psychology follows a strict clinical agenda. Despite this common belief Martina Čubrić, a fourth year Bachelor in Psychology student, considers this discipline to go beyond a purely scientific perspective. In her case, psychology is what unites her two biggest passions; basketball and nutrition.
At IE University, Martina has been given the opportunity to explore the innovative applications of her discipline, and discover the strong relationship between leadership and psychology in the business world. Our Bachelor in Psychology deals extensively with organizational psychology and organizational behaviour, and provides students with the foundations they need to interpret market and industry research, as well as consumer behavior. We enable students like Martina to discover the organizational and leadership skills that will put them on the path to future success in the working world.
Martina’s dream is to use her IEU degree to pursue a Master’s in sports psychology in the United States, before returning to her home country of Croatia to apply all of this experience and knowledge to improve local organizations and sport teams.
