As part of the program, students will have the opportunity to apply their knowledge to real-world situations with one of our business partners from around the globe.

The future is yours

As a graduate of the Bachelor in Behavior and Social Sciences, you will have the skill set to go on to work in a wide variety of roles across multiple industries. The well-rounded, hands-on curriculum helps you stand out from the rest, ready to confidently implement lasting change on a personal, professional and social level.

Our alumni have landed positions as people consultants, consumer behavior experts, behavioral scientists, market research analysts, talent/HR development managers, customer experience designers and more. Each role serves as a unique career opportunity for you to focus on anything from psychological and economic principles to decision-making and human interactions.

Applying your skills with business experiments

One of the courses in the Bachelor in Behavior and Social Sciences is Business Experimentation, taught by Daniel Naranjo, vice president for BeWay for Latin America. In this class, Daniel will help you take your current knowledge and apply it to different situations you may come across in your field. Plus, you’ll have the chance to apply your skills and newly acquired learnings with one of our partner companies worldwide.

In the course, Daniel emphasizes the importance of the methodology used for solving business problems, leaving the outcome out of the equation. In this way, you are pressed to deal with the uncertainty of your decisions, and are given a safe space to try something you may not have otherwise thought to try. You will also work closely with the CEO of the company in which your experiment is taking place—an exciting opportunity to learn from some of the best in the industry.

Students who have participated in the Business Experimentation course have seen some outstanding results. Gaining an understanding of how to reframe business challenges as behavioral programs has been a game-changer for participants.

“I think it’s the most useful class I’ve had in my four years at IE University,” explains fourth-year student Adrian Salinas. Today’s companies are looking for professionals who are ready to reframe business problems, and this course shows you how to do just that.

Hands-on experiences resulting in tangible skills

The Business Experimentation class gives you the opportunity to integrate your new knowledge into real-life business cases. Putting theory to practice is a core value at IE University, and this course demonstrates our commitment to that principle.

Our success with this hands-on approach to learning is proven through our students’ achievements. Student Isabella D’Alessandro, for example, applied her skills during the experiments, made connections in the company she was working with and then landed an internship as a UX researcher there.
