Discover IE University’s Law Scholarship Program in Partnership with 5 of the world’s most prestigious international law firms 

IE University firmly believes that everyone should get a fair shot when it comes to academic achievement and opening new professional doors. In partnership with IE University, five law firms have launched five different scholarships for Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) students. Every year, each scholarship is awarded to one exceptional student.

Discover our five LL.B. scholarships

Each of these five scholarships is aimed at students who wish to pursue the LL.B. at IE Law School, which is delivered 100% in English.

Clifford ChanceDiversity Scholarship

This scholarship is aimed at admitted students who demonstrate academic excellence and also have an international background or inclination. The scholarship is merit-based, annually renewed, and will be granted to one undergraduate student, covering up to 50% of the recipient’s total tuition costs.

CuatrecasasInnovative Lawyers

The Cuatrecasas – Innovative Lawyers scholarship is designed for admitted students who show academic excellence and a strong entrepreneurial spirit. This is an annually renewed and merit-based scholarship, covering up to 50% of the recipient’s total tuition costs, and is a fantastic opportunity for business-minded undergraduates.

Pérez-LlorcaExcellence in Law Practice

The Excellence in Law Practice scholarship is aimed at admitted students who demonstrate academic excellence and a strong work ethic. As with the other scholarships, this scholarship is merit-based and will cover up to 50% of the recipient’s tuition costs.

PwCGlobal Lawyering

The PwC – Global Lawyering scholarship is aimed towards admitted, academically excellent students who aspire to work internationally. This merit-based scholarship is annually renewed and covers 50% of tuition fees, and will forge the path towards global professional opportunities for the undergraduate who is awarded it.

Uría MenéndezLawyering and Humanities

Aimed at admitted students who demonstrate academic excellence with a streak of humanistic curiosity, the Uría Menéndez scholarship is a merit-based award. The scholarship is annually renewed and will cover up to 50% of the student’s tuition fees, blending law and humanities.

  • Several experiential opportunities to enrich the student’s academic experience and foster professional development
  • Access to a professional mentor for support
  • The opportunity to take part in an internship at the collaborating firm in one of their final two years
  • The ability to expand their legal network with top legal professionals, valuable for their future career prospects

Meet our scholarship recipients

Here are the five exceptional undergraduates that were awarded the IE University-sponsored LL.B. scholarships this year:

  • Desiree Rommy Antonia Schottenhamel stood out and gained the IE – Clifford Chance Scholarship for Diversity.
  • Jorge Sanjuán Femenía’s curiosity earned him the IE – Uría Menéndez scholarship for Lawyering and Humanities.
  • Lara Šimić showed her entrepreneurial spirit and took advantage of the IE – Cuatrecasas scholarship for Innovative Lawyers.
  • Louiza Apostolidi proved a diligent work ethic and is completing the IE – Pérez-Llorca scholarship for Excellence in Law Practice.
  • Maya Taavon hopes to work globally, and the IE – PwC Scholarship for Global Lawyers will help her do just that.

Valentina Sicilia was born in Venezuela and grew up in Miami, Florida. She speaks Spanish, English, and basic Greek.
She completed her primary education at Archimedean Academy in Miami, FL, where she studied Greek for 5 years. She then completed her secondary education in the School for Advanced Studies in Miami, FL, alongside an Associate’s degree at her local community college.
In 2017, she moved to Gainesville, FL to start her undergraduate education at the University of Florida, where she majored in Business Administration with a focus in Marketing. During her studies, she interned at two marketing companies, Aha Pure Foods and Mateo & Co.
After graduating a year early in 2020, she continued her studies by pursuing a Master’s degree in Visual and Digital Media at IE University to explore the creative and digital side of marketing. She graduated in 2021 and decided to stay in Madrid, joining IE University’s Marketing Department where she currently works as a Marketing Specialist.
