Flying High With Red Bull’s Graduate Program

How did you find out about this opportunity at Red Bull?

I came across this position at Red Bull shortly after I began looking for a job, at the start of my final year. I simply looked up entry-level positions at all of the companies that I was interested in working for. Red Bull was the one that really motivated me, so I pushed hard to get there. When I saw some graduate program openings on their jobs website, I decided to apply to as many as I was qualified for.

Red Bull has always grabbed my attention as a business, owing to their creative marketing strategies and outside-the-box thinking. So I decided to try my luck and see if I would be the right fit for this wonderful company. All the positions I applied for had a creative aspect to them, which really helped me become more invested in the opportunity.

What can you tell us about this graduate experience so far?

Being here at Red Bull has been everything I expected. It’s a highly dynamic environment, meaning that no day is ever the same. You have to be on your toes at all times, which makes for an exhilarating experience from the moment you set foot in the office every single day.

I am part of the Consumer Activation team for Red Bull Racing. It strikes a perfect blend of some of my greatest passions: creative thinking, marketing and Formula 1! Above all, I really appreciate the mutual respect that everyone has for each other in the company, which contributes to a very positive working environment.

What positive things have you taken from the experience?

As I mentioned, I value the camaraderie and unity of all the employees at Red Bull. What’s more, the projects I’m involved with are ones where I genuinely feel as though I can make an impact and have my voice heard. I appreciate the trust that is placed in me every day. This type of environment is what pushes me to be better every time I walk into the office.

I have been learning so much, not only from my managers but from all the other graduates and interns. We come from vastly different backgrounds, but we’re brought together by a passion for Red Bull and all it stands for. I look forward to continuing to grow and learn with the Red Bull family.

How did IE University help you prepare for this opportunity?

The international outlook that I gained at IE University is invaluable—it taught me so much about different cultures and countries. Being a part of the comfortable, open-minded community that I found in my program helped me build the creative problem-solving skills that I now use on a daily basis.

What advice would you give to other students interested in interning or working at Red Bull?

I think it’s important to be 100% yourself when applying to work at Red Bull. They really look for genuine people—this might sound a bit cheesy but it’s the truth. Another vital aspect you have to make clear is your passion for the company. Show the interviewers how Red Bull has impacted your life and what makes you want to work there. Lastly, be persistent and stay focused on your long-term goals to keep you motivated throughout the process.
