This Dual Degree in Business Administration and Laws grad has been making waves in the eSports world since graduating in 2018. Now the CEO of eGoGames—a mobile eSports platform currently valued at €3m—Alejandro chose IE University for its emphasis on entrepreneurship. He wanted to join a university that pushed its students and encouraged them to become leaders, and after founding three companies, it’s clear this was the perfect place.
A serial entrepreneur
Alejandro cites the final thesis project as fundamental to his development as an entrepreneur, encouraging him to come up with new ideas and build these from scratch. His confident approach is evident by his work after graduation. Alongside a friend, he established a restaurant before setting up his own tech company. His most successful venture to date is eGoGames, a mobile gaming platform. Today, the mobile gaming industry is focused on monetizing games through ads or in-app purchases. eGoGames is disrupting this industry by transforming the business model, with everyday players competing in real-world competitions for real cash. In exchange, they are able to play the game as much as they like, for free.
Teamwork makes the dream work
During his time at IE University, Alejandro enjoyed working with others and collaborating toward a shared goal. Nowadays, teamwork is the most essential skill to his life as a CEO. He cites his biggest challenge as taking care of every member of his team, with the whole office feeling like one big family.
Be your own motivator
For anyone thinking of becoming an entrepreneur, Alejandro’s words of advice are to believe in yourself and don’t let anyone stop you from doing what you want. These values have certainly driven this young CEO forward. Looking ahead, Alejandro aims to make eGoGames a leading global eSports mobile platform with a long-term future.
Outside of his busy professional life, you can find Alejandro in the boxing ring or the driving range. Apart from sport, he makes the most of his downtime by socializing with friends.
