Lucía Sánchez Pozo is a 15-year-old entrepreneur who has already developed three games.

She is a do-it-yourself expert and taught herself how to code through YouTube tutorials. We met her at the Future of Advertising Conference in Madrid where she was one of the main speakers. We spoke to her about her career and her achievements in tech.

Can you please introduce yourself?

I’m Lucía Sánchez, I’m 15 years old and I love technology. I started learning how to code when I was 12 years old, and since then I have developed 3 games. Right now I’m working on a new project, a 3D game.

Can you explain your project?

At 14, I developed my first mobile game, Crazy Block, which has reached over 11,000 downloads. Crazy Block is a game where you have to think how to get the player to their goal, and as you pass levels, it gets more difficult. This summer, I started developing my second game, Smash Ball, which I managed to make public at the beginning of the year.

Why you decided to start your own company?

Since I was young, I’ve always wanted to have my own company. When I was about 10 I started selling bracelets, at 12 I designed my own t-shirts and sold them on eBay. After that, I realized technology was my passion, so I decided to create my own mobile game studio and started developing games, which I find fascinating.

Can you describe your ideal bachelor’s degree?

My ideal bachelor’s degree would be something that could combine learning how to run a company and learning how to create webpages or some basic programming.

Why do you think it’s important to have an entrepreneurial mindset in life?

I think having an entrepreneurial mindset is positive, as it is important to have people who want to create things that improve everyone’s lives. For example, there have been entrepreneurs who have developed apps that help you improve your health, or apps that help us communicate with our family and friends.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

I see myself developing hardware products and having my own company. I am really interested in developing smartphones or wearables.

Can you give any advice to someone who wants to become a young entrepreneur?

I would recommend they create a mind map with all the ideas they have and then choose one they really like and decide if they have what it takes to do it. Nowadays, it is very easy to learn something new, you can just type what you want on Youtube and follow the instructions.
