Miguel is a first-year Data & Business Analytics student at the Segovia campus. He was born and raised in Spain, and moved to the United States for a couple of years at the age of 16. He speaks Spanish and Catalan fluently, and became fluent in English too during his time abroad.
After completing all of his primary and most of his secondary education in his hometown of Mallorca, Spain, Miguel moved to Upstate New York to finish his high-school education at an international school. After living abroad, he wanted to continue studying in a diverse atmosphere, which is why he chose IE University for his bachelor’s degree. He has always wanted to pursue a career in data science, and in his opinion, IE University has one of the best programs in the world.
During his first year as an IE University student, Miguel will participate in seminars and the Econ DataLab, which he is eager for. Despite not yet having had the opportunity to take part in an internship, he is currently collaborating with the marketing department. This is providing him with some professional experience during his first year.
In his free time, Miguel trains for track and field activities, which he has been doing for many years, and plays tennis. He loves spending time with family and friends and traveling as much as possible.
